EU Publishes 2026 GSP Implementation Report

The European Commission and High Representative published a joint report on implementation of the EU’s Generalised Scheme of Preferences (GSP), the bloc’s primary trade policy tool for supporting developing country exports. The report assesses the scheme’s contribution to sustainable economic growth. GSP grants preferential tariff access to eligible developing countries.

Anti-Dumping Duty on Bicycles and Bicycle Parts from Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, and Tunisia

USTR Ambassador Jamieson Greer imposed a 25% tariff on certain Brazilian goods under Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974, following a yearlong investigation into Brazil’s unreasonable acts, policies, and practices. American agricultural, logging, and industry groups expressed support for the action. The measure represents a significant bilateral trade restriction targeting specific Brazilian sectors.
